Publisher's Summary
In which, a 17-year-old apprentice dealer in rare books is sent from Paris to England by her father, to obtain incunabula and medieval books of devotion - and whatever secrets of political intrigue or finance may come to hand in the process. In the course of her business, though, Minnie meets Harold Grey (Lord John’s elder brother), the newly-widowed (and alarmingly deranged) Duke of Pardloe, and things fall out.
One of the two final novellas of Seven Stones to Stand or Fall.

This would make a great movie
I absolutely loved this book enough to listen a second time upon completion.
The main character Minnie was young intelligent and gutsy.
A perfect novella to get away from your own reality absorbed in intrigue and spice of young life.

Loved it
The reader captures the ‘voice’ of the characters perfectly.
This story expands on Lord John Grey’s brother’s story. Minnie meets Harold Grey, the newly-widowed Duke of Pardloe, and their interests become entangled.
